Job Responsibilities:

Coordination: Collaborate with other design professionals, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineers, to ensure integrated building designs.
2. Design & Analysis: Be actively involved in the design phase of office, commercial, and residential buildings. Tasks include designing foundations, retaining walls, building framing, and multi-story shoring systems in compliance with building codes (IBC,NYCBC, NYSBC).
3. Façade & Garage Rehabilitation: Prepare façade and garage rehabilitation plans in accordance with NYC building codes and Local Laws. Ensure structural integrity and compliance with regulations during rehabilitation projects.
4. Wooden Structure Design: Design and analyze wooden structures using hand calculations and appropriate methodologies to ensure safety and compliance with applicable codes.
5. Field Supervision & Consulting: Conduct regular field visits to oversee construction work, consult with field supervisors, and ensure adherence to structural designs.
6. Field Inspections: Perform inspections to assess the structural condition of existing buildings, identify issues, and propose corrective actions.
7. Structural Element Design: Design and analyze structural elements such as beams, joists, columns, footings, and concrete slabs using relevant computer software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000, or similar).
